Regular Complaints facing Transducers:
| 1. |
Low
Gain
User can see the image but it looks low resolution.
|
| 2 |
Air Gap
In mechanical probes, air gap seems due to lack of
enough oil. It will give moving shadows. Electronic
probes shows some bulbous over the layer and gives
a black shadow.

| 3 |
Black Shadow
Some black shadows over the image but other areas giving
good image.
|
| 4 |
Cracks
Image and layer is good but some cracks on the case.
|
| 5 |
Ghost Imaging
Some of the images are missing or some images are overlapping.

REASONS AND SOLUTIONS
| 1. |
Low
gain may due to the crystal is getting used and its
life is over; In this case replacing crystals may
not recommended, better go for a new probe.
|
| 2 |
Air Gap: In mechanical probes air gaps
can be removed by refilling the oil. In electronic
probes, bulbous air gaps can be removed by replacing
the transducer membrane. Screw driver can use for
this.
|
| 3 |
Black shadows: Black shadows may due to air gaps as
described above or crystal elements dead or due to
cable cut. Air gap problem can be serviced as described
above. Crystal elements dead means better go for total
replacement. Cable cut can be solved by replacing
cables or can be getting serviced by qualified service
personnel. Some companies they are supplying transducer
cables are (3 sites)

| 4 |
Cracks: It may caused due to high temperature.
Use of A/C will reduce the chance. Cracks on the case
can be removed by replacing case or by side fillings.
Cracked cables can be replaced with new cables.
|
| 5 |
Ghost Imaging:
Mostly ghost imaging is due to the machine’s
internal PCB problems only. Some transducers with
built-in PCBs may have ghost imaging. PCBs are serviceable.

REPAIRING OF MECHANICAL PROBES:
It includes:
1.
Dome replacement
2. Oil filling
3 . Motor assembly alignment calibration
4. Motor
assembly replacement
